A SIMPLE AND CONSISTENT DAILY RHYTHM IS NURTURING TO the SOUL AND CALMING TO THE BODY WHICH REDUCES STRESS HORMONES (yours and your child’s!) and means you have a much greater capacity for the big work of conscious parenting

Let’s imagine two scenarios.

Scenario 1. is very haphazard. Mother feels very scattered, pulled in a hundred different directions each day though she never feels like she actually gets anything accomplished. Meals are made last minute, chores are put off over and over again, all the wonderful things she wants to do and create with her child never come to fruition. Her child refuses to play independently, constantly demands attention and clings to her as she tries to cook or get jobs done. This mum has a beautiful kind heart and inspired ideas but she is so exhausted it’s no wonder trying to parent consciously is extremely hard work for her.

Scenario 2. is very calm. Mother feels centred and aligned. She knows with certainty what she values and how her actions each day reflect those. She and her child know when meal times are, when sleep times are, bath times etc and how these will play out. She spends time connecting with her child on a heart level. Her child plays creatively and independently for longer periods of time. She feels more resourced and sure of herself. Therefore she has a MUCH higher capacity to be present and patient when her kids are fighting or having a tantrum. She is MUCH more able to consciously chose her responses as opposed to reacting on autopilot.

Imagine creating a consistent and nurturing daily rhythm that acts as an extra set of hands for you as a mother and means that scenario 2 is what you experience more of.

While you’re aiming to be present, to respond to your child with love, while you’re holding space for those tears and tantrums… your nurturing rhythm will be there supporting you.

This workbook won’t go into the BIG work of conscious parenting ( I have lots of other resources for that!) The focus of this workbook is more the practicalities of setting up a nurturing home rhythm in a way that will deeply support you.

In putting this together I’m drawing on my experiences as a mother and an early childhood teacher. Particularly, the last 8 years that I’ve worked in Steiner early childhood settings where a consistent and nurturing daily rhythm is a key aspect of the curriculum. I’ve seen the benefits time and time again and I’m sharing them here with you as it’s my mission to support your conscious parenting journey and help you remove any blocks that are holding you back from being the parent you want to be.

Rather than just hoping things will be better tomorrow, this workbook will help you transform the ideas in your head into your practical, everyday reality.

Love from other mums:

“I signed up to work with Belinda as I was finding myself completely exhausted from giving in to every little demand as I just didn’t know how to say ‘no’ to my kids without the guilt setting in. Belinda quickly gave me the confidence to set limits in a way my children quickly accepted. This new skill has helped me feel more confident and happy as a mother and I am enjoying my kids so much more and seeing them for the beautiful gifts they are rather than feeling tired and agitated by them.”

Lauren (mother of two)

“I was finding it really hard to enjoy my parenting journey through all the conflicts, tantrums and defiance of my toddler. Since working with Belinda and digging deep things have really begun to turn around for us. It’s definitely not all roses!! It has allowed me to regain my confidence as a mother and we are making some great progress as a family!’
